octopus skimmer?

anyone have any experience with reef octopus skimmers. ive heard decent t hings from people about them and i was needing to get a new skimmer soon.

I had the XP1000 SSS and it
I had the XP1000 SSS and it worked very good. Nothing bad to say. Jeff uses the huge models so it can't be bad.

I ran the dnwb150 model for 2
I ran the dnwb150 model for 2 yrs n it worked great. I recently got the sss1000 off Tommy and it's a beast. Awesome skimmers for the value IMO. Id go with the new models that come with the blaster master pumps if you're buying new

The SRO and Super Reef models
The SRO and Super Reef models are what you want, the Bubble Blaster pump performs quite well over the OTP and Sicce models used on the others. They aren't the quietest things out there....noise is comparable to a Vortech whine or External pump hum...but well worth the money in place of a Deltec, Alpha or Bubble King.

I've got a bubble blaster on mine and it's heck a lot quieter than the tiny maxi jet 1200 i use for a reactor.

bh 2200 here i didnt think it was difficult to setup at all. Reef octupus is the way to go brandon i dont know why you have to ask buddy. haha

i have the nwb 150 and i have nothing bad to say. pulls gunk like a champ
